I’m gonna rain on you.

I am still running on a rubbish Wordpress version. I don’t even know what version this is, just old… very old. Anyway. Loads of stuff happening in 2009, it sucked so bad you don’t even see my blogging for most part of the year.

The best decision I made was setting up monoxious.com, the rest of the year was an awesome blur. But umm yes, there is the APEC Nuffnang Awards which was a huge turning point for our blog.

I have a couple of plans for myself and monoxious this year. It is the year of big changes and it is already looking pretty good so far.

So here’s the plan.

• Less crap food. And I specifically mean, less Mc Donald’s delivery
• sell off the lolita clothes. It was a significant part of my life in 2008. It only went downhill from there. I still love it but just some things that tainted it. do not want.
• Blog more often. Not here though. Most likely over at monoxious. This sacred spot is reserved for rants.
• more self-reflection, less idle.
• further develop skills in photography, drawing, draping, drafting and sewing.
• It’s a time for monoxious to shine because I say so.

I think that covers alot of grounds. have fun in 2010 peeps.

OHAI. I’m back again, you should all buy 4D now cause it wasn’t like another 1mth before I posted again.

Anyway, I’m just feeling incredibly sleepy but productive at the same time (wtf how is that even possible?).
BUT IT DOES HAPPEN.

It’s like you are incredibly inspired to do something but you’re just fucking tired.

Met a few new people today. I’m inspired when I meet new people, when I see what they do and have a glimpse into their world through their blogs.

I think I’m pretty brilliant at times.

This story is going to be long so settle in and grab a coffee.

I was in Tokyo a few days ago and while waiting in the lobby for my colleagues, I dropped my phone.

yes the fucking iPhone
Flat down. not at an angle.
so you can say that the damn phone got the full impact of the fall from waist height onto a marble floor.
Brilliant isn’t it? (but that’s not why this story is brilliant)

I picked up the phone and to my horror, the screen was blue… like a twitter-blue. with some random vertical lines all over the place.
My day was immediately ruined. But bah… who has time to mourn when shopping awaits really?
(That is still not the point of my story)

The phone technically still works. I can pick up calls I just can’t make them or see who’s calling. not like that is any comfort the horrrrrror
So i backed up my phone for one last time just in case and the syncing works.

So when I got back to Singapore, I went to the Singtel shop to get my phone fixed.
Long story short, they asked if I dropped my phone, I lied. They checked it and couldn’t find any visible evidence of it being dropped (ala scratches, dents) so….

I got a new iPhone

I was seriously expecting to fork out 200bucks to have the LCD replaced.
(and guess what? this is -stilllllllll- not the point of why I’m brilliant)

So i went back happily to restore this iPhone with my former settings, set the alarm on my iPhone and went to bed.

And now i’m up. I swear my body feels weird…. like a it’s-too-early-and-I-should-still-be-sleeping kinda weird.
I checked my clock and it’s one hour behind.

My iPhone was in Tokyo time when it was last backed up and when I restored it, it remained at Tokyo time. So yeah. The point of this brilliant story is that I woke up one hour too early.

I’m in New York right now. Kinda went crazy when I went to H&M and bought like 4 of the same mini tophat cos I liked it so much. There isn’t much left from the Comme de Garcons collection and it makes me kinda sad. I wanted some of the polka dotted stuff cos it’s so cute.

And don’t even get me started on going to Sephora.

Sephora is my candy store~!!

There’s so much goodies and gift packs now that we’re nearing the holiday season. I bought a Stila Smudge pot pack of 3 for only US$32~!!! I was tempted to get the lip gloss pack for like US$28 for a pack of 6, but then again I don’t really wear lip gloss.

I love New York even if it’s cold and windy and I’m freezing my ass off here. ~!!!!

Ok so I haven’t posted in a week. buttttt~ dumdumdum dummmmm~ I’m [still] not dead.

Trip to New York was fantastic as usual. I managed to go to the Metropolitan museum of arts albeit rushed.
I didn’t know that had such a fantastic archive of European paintings as well as furniture, and I haven’t even started on the Greek exhibits.
And to my surprise, they had a mini Van Gogh exhibition going on right now.

I spent much of my money on Abercombie (no surprises there). That places sucks my money.
And again, I wish I had more time there.

Sorry enemies of mine, I have to disappoint you and tell you once again that your ploy to murder me in my sleep/poison my food/ throw me off a building/ send a maniacal baboon to attack me has once again failed.

I’m still alive….albeit tired cos of the monthly curse although not many would partake in indulging in the fact that I’m having feminine agonies.

My eyes are fine. except for vision fluctuations every now and then, especially at night. Lights dazzle me and I can’t see properly.

I gotta start thinking of more creative titles.

I’m back from New York. And frankly, although it’s freezing, the subway smells like piss and I saw a dead mice on the road, I can’t wait to go back again.

Vday was spent there alone in the Museum of natural history. It’s the best and most well maintained museums I’ve been to so far. Lourve was “*w* omg h00j paintings” but the MoNH was just fun for everyone.
I went to watch a show in the Planetarium and I wish I could’ve shared the experience with someone.

Frankly there just wasn’t anything much to buy anymore. I think I’m going to head to more museums the next time I’m there.

I survived a 19 hour flight back to Singapore. Which is quite a feat. I could never stay still in an aircraft.

I still have blurry vision in one eye and I’m off to see an eye specialist now.
Hopefully, I’m cleared to go back to work.

I’ve never been more glad to be home.
Chinese New year as usual was kinda blah. MY aunt saw my Neverfull and wanted me to help her buy one as well.

M1 Broadband is awesome. I’m typing this in the cab now.
I’m reaching the hospital now. Cya peeps.
