Cab drivers

Posted January 29th, 2007 by minicloud

I take cabs very often. No, I’m not about to boast about not taking the buses and trains because I like to save time and sleep.

I have a love-hate relationships with some cab drivers…I hate them and I love hating them.

One particular kind is what I call the “inertia lover”… yes I know it sounds kinda erotic. These kinda drivers love stepping the accelerator and letting go when they have reached a certain speed and then they slow down and step on the accelerator again.

It results in alot inertia and most likely a very sick passenger at the back seat.

I don’t usually get airsick or seasick, in fact, in a sick kinda way, I do enjoy turbulances. But that aside, carsickness is no fun. I hate “inertia lovers” and they should drive with a glass of water on their dashboard and see how they like the water spilling all over them.

Haha, I love that one - the comment, not the “inertia driver”!
In my two years and something of Singapore cab drivers experience I came across this one more than just once. But the explanation for it is quite plausible, isn’t it? “Uncle, can you pleeease keep your speed a bit more permanent - Nooo, can not-lah, there is maximum speed limit!”

Oh yes… that’s the main reason why I don’t like to take cabs and would rather drive myself. About 70% of taxi drivers drive like that!

A bunch of bad habits! Really irritates me.
